Under the leadership of Carol Bonomini, a former LMSNW Board President and current board member, we minister at 12 facilities each week with services and visitations. See "Where We Serve" for a general listing of of care centers served. We seek to add new facilities as we are able.
In 2010, LMSNW was able to add Charlene Rhoades-Koenigs to our care center ministry staff. Charlene brings her training as a Lutheran deaconess, career experience as a teacher, several years of experience as an activities director in care centers, and considerable musical talents to the ministry she provides.
The only way that LMSNW is able to reach so many care centers in the greater Seattle area is through the dedication of our care center volunteers. Our volunteers provide musical accompanyment, leading vocals, assisting residents with turning pages in songbooks, reading Scripture passages, doing object lessons, and leading prayers.
When possible, we equip and inspire congregations to see care centers in their communities as important places for ministry and service through partnership and training.
