General Donations
Checks in any amount may be sent to Lutheran Ministry Services Northwest.  Please consider using Thrivent to match your donation. (Thrivent Financial for Lutherans will match $1.00 for every $2.00 accumulated annual donations up to $600, with a maximum contribution of $300 when you own a Thrivent Financial product.)  Thrivent Matching forms available on request.  Thrivent ID# 502586589

Online Donations
You can make a contribution to LMS using our online donation page. on the Network for Good web site. To donate online, please click here or on the icon shown at the right.

Matching Gifts and Payroll Deduction Plans
Many organizations offer their employees a tremendous way to support organizations like LMS, and some even offer matching funds through their dedicated Giving programs. Here are just a few organizations that offer payroll deduction contributions and matching gift programs.

• Microsoft Giving Campaign 
• Boeing Employee Community Fund
• United Way of King County

There are many others that offer similar programs that can help you become a regular supporter of LMS.  All you need to do is find out how it works.

Please make sure your matching donations are not wasted in the support of LMS.  Your participation in these types of programs allows LMS to continue to reflect God’s love to those who are in need of compassionate pastoral care.

Planned Giving

Appreciated Stock If you own stock that has appreciated over the years, you might consider donating it to Lutheran Ministry Services Northwest. Speak with your financial advisor about the tax advantages of this giving option.

Bequests. If you would like to include Lutheran Ministry Services Northwest in your will, please give this wording to your attorney: I bequeath to Lutheran Ministry Services Northwest, a nonprofit corporation formed under the laws of the state of Washington,     % of my estate or $         , the income or principal, or both, to be used for the general purpose of Lutheran Ministry Services Northwest, tax ID #91-1347905.

Life Insurance. This simple alternative can assure Lutheran Ministry Services Northwest of a substantial gift at your death through modest annual contributions. Call us for information or speak to your financial advisor or insurance professional.

Trusts, Annuities and Other Giving Options. If you have considerable assets, we will work with you and your financial advisor to find the most advantageous giving options for your situation.

Lutheran Ministry Services Northwest has collaborated with other Lutheran agencies to form Lutheran Legacy Campaign, a communication effort that encourages gift planning among Lutherans throughout the Pacific Northwest. With a generous grant from Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, the Lutheran Legacy Campaign members are available to present seminars on planned giving to help educate and demystify gift planning concepts in a simple and easy-to-grasp manner.
