Referrals

Lutheran Ministry Services Northwest (LMS) receives referral from pastors, congregations, and the community.  Referrals to LMS are graciously accepted and everyone’s privacy is honored and respected. 

LMS has provided Christian chaplaincy services, pastoral and spiritual care to men, women, and children as well as their families since in 1938.  It is our mission to be an extension of all Lutheran congregations throughout the Pacific Northwest.  LMS is a respected 501(c)(3) corporation where people can turn when there is a need our chaplaincy, pastoral, and spiritual care services.

Through a partnership of chaplains, volunteers and professional staff, LMS serves as an enlightened and caring community willing to address the issues raised by those facing some of life’s most challenging circumstances. 

LMS is guided by Matthew 25:36, “I was naked and you clothed me; I was sick and you visited me; I was in prison and you came to me;”  LMS brings compassion; love and understanding to all those we serve.

LMS is an “Affirmed Social Ministry Organization” of the ELCA and A “Recognized Social Ministry Organization” of The LCMS.  We are also a member in good standing with Lutheran Services in America,
