Our hospital ministry continues with in-person chaplaincy provided at one major medical center and remote contact at various locations.
Our care center teams are reaching out with phone calls, letters, and cards to people in care centers. Do you want to join in this ministry of encouragement? See the article.
Our jail / prison ministry chaplain still visits the King County Corrections Center. See his article to find out how he still provides ministry to inmates.
Jesus said, “I am with you always, even to the end of the age” (Matthew 28:20). Trusting that our Lord is with us and with those we serve, we are bold to pray -
Living Lord, we pray for all of those who are affected by this pandemic. For those who are ill, bring your healing touch. Watch over, guide, and bless those who serve in hospitals - from the doctors and nurses, to those who prepare the food and clean the rooms and everyone else involved. Grant the supplies that are needed at every level. Watch over those in nursing homes. Grant them your strength and help and send messages of hope that ward off loneliness. Never let us lose sight of compassion for the sake of Christ. Mercifully grant us relief. Lord in your mercy … hear our prayer in Jesus’ name.
Lord, we lift up those who are incarcerated and those who work with them during this pandemic, especially our own jail / prison chaplain. Watch over them. Keep them from getting this illness. We pray that you would use this time and this experience to renew their faith and their lives, even as you do the same for all of Your people. Lord in your mercy … hear our prayer in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Our February gathering - 200 Care Packs were assembled! Thank you to all who donated items and helped us assemble the packs.
Location: Pilgrim Lutheran Church
10420 SE 11th St.
Bellevue, WA 98004
(North Lot Entrance)
1:30-3:30pm
We will gather at 1:30pm to hear updates on our outreach ministry. Cake and refreshments will be served. If you have a favorite dessert to share, please do!
Also, we will reach out in service to the homeless by assembling “care packs.” The packs will include:
· Scarves, mittens (or gloves), socks, hand warmers, caps (warm hats), energy bars (granola, protein, snack packs), bottled water, Chapstick®, Kleenex®, & “A Simple Explanation of Christianity” (supplied by LMSN).
The “care packs” are tried and tested outreach items. Don Sundene reports, “I gave a care pack to a homeless person the other day. She received it with tears in her eyes and said ‘Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!’”
We hope that we can assemble 100+ care packs. We will have some material pre-purchased, but we also hope that you can help by bringing the items noted above which can be purchased through Good Will, Costco, or the discount store of your choice.
Once the kits are assembled, keep one or more in your car with you. When you meet someone at the corner with a cardboard sign, you can give them a care pack to let them know of Jesus’ love.
